In recognition of National Preparedness Month in September, we’d like to remind all of our Mooresville and Lake Norman friends of the importance of the making sure your car is ready for, not only the changing weather that is on the horizon, but any emergency – big or small. Proper Auto Care in preparation for any weather or road condition you may face is key.
According to the non-profit Car Care Council, there are 3P’s you should never ignore when it comes to your vehicle.
- Preventative: You will want to minimize the chance of unplanned and costly repairs, so we recommend that you always follow your vehicle’s service schedule and perform routine maintenance, like changing your oil, checking your tire pressure, and getting scheduled inspections done.
- Proactive:Address repairs as soon as possible to avoid bigger and more expensive problems down the road. Procrastinate is not one of the important P’s when it comes to car care!
- Prepared:Always keep an emergency kit in your vehicle that includes jumper cables, a first-aid kit, flashlight with extra batteries, water, blankets – and a road atlas – in case your cell phone navigation decides not to cooperate!
